Only a few days after our celebrating Trevor and Steph's marriage, we received word that our brother-in-law and dear friend, Ted Collins, went home to heaven. We will miss Ted very much, but are so grateful that he is with the Lord and no longer suffering from Alzheimer's. We will be going to Fort Myers to spend some time with Dick's sister, Mary, and Dick will be sharing at the memorial service. We would really appreciate your prayers for all the family.
During times of loss God is a great comfort. We are so thankful that He is a personal God that cares and gives peace even in the midst of difficulty. We are reminded of several verses from the Psalms.
“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”
“But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant.”
“The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.”
